MOUNTAIN VIEW, CALIF. – Feb. 19, 2016 – Qubole, the big data-as-a-service company, is pleased to announce that Silicon Valley Business Journal is honoring Marcy Campbell, Qubole’s senior vice president of worldwide sales and business development, with its Women of Influence Award.
The Women of Influence honorees exercise power and influence within their industry and throughout the Silicon Valley community while serving as role models for future generations of leaders. Campbell is being recognized for her achievements in her role at Qubole and in her career, as well as her volunteer and community work.
“It is an honor to be included in such a prestigious list of women, all of whom have overcome the challenges of moving up the ranks in a male-dominated industry,” said Marcy Campbell, senior vice president of worldwide sales and business development at Qubole. “The world has changed for women in the workplace, but we’re not where we need to be yet. I look forward to continuing to mentor the next generation of women in tech and see even more seats at the table open up.”
As Qubole’s first female hire, Marcy has successfully built the company’s global sales and business development teams, which in 2015 alone experienced 600 percent growth in revenues. In her spare time, Campbell works with seed-funded companies at the nine-month incubator program Heavybit Industries, and with Bridge Foundry, an organization for many projects focused on making technology more accessible to people who are underrepresented in tech.
“We are very proud of Marcy’s accomplishments, both at Qubole and over her career, and are very excited to see her honored as a Woman of Influence,” said Ashish Thusoo, CEO and co-founder of Qubole. “She has been fundamental to Qubole’s growth over the past year and we know that she will continue to build and mentor our growing team.”
