Amazon makes Bracket, its managed quantum computer service generally available, DataRobot launches a library of 100-plus AI use cases, and more.

Keeping pace with news and developments in the real-time analytics market can be a daunting task. We want to help by providing a summary of some of the items our staff came across each week. Here is a short list of some news from this week:

Amazon Web Services announced the general availability of Amazon Braketa fully managed AWS service that provides a development environment to help customers explore and design quantum algorithms. Customers can use Amazon Braket to test and troubleshoot quantum algorithms on simulated quantum computers running on computing resources in AWS to help them verify their implementation. When ready, customers can use Amazon Braket to run their quantum algorithms on their choice of quantum processors based on different technologies, including systems from D-Wave, IonQ, and Rigetti. Both simulated and quantum hardware jobs are managed through a unified development experience, and customers pay only for the compute resources used.

DataRobot announced DataRobot Pathfinder, a public library of more than 100 AI use cases that provide the know-how to maximize success and impact based on DataRobot’s experience with thousands of real-world applications of AI. Developed by DataRobot’s customer-facing data science team, Pathfinder is built on decades’ worth of academic and industry experience to help users select and deploy the best AI use cases. The public library makes it easy for users to identify the AI use case that best fits their needs by allowing them to filter by vertical, problem type, and value driver. These use cases include industry-agnostic applications of AI, such as forecasting demand, scoring new leads, and reducing customer churn, as well as industry-specific applications of AI, including reducing hospital readmissions, predicting insurance claims’ severity, and preventing anti-money laundering.

Fiddler announced a strategic collaboration with Lockheed Martin Ventures, inclusive of a strategic cooperation agreement and an investment. As part of the investment, Lockheed Martin Ventures will work with Fiddler on the development, testing, and scaling of Fiddler’s technology in applying explainable AI in the defense and aerospace industries. At the heart of Fiddler’s Platform lies AI Explainability, which provides continuous insights understandable by humans to help build responsible, transparent, and fair AI systems.

Digital.ai, the creator of the Intelligent Value Stream Platform, announced an expanded strategic partnership with Scaled Agile, creators of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), a framework for enterprise agility. The newly expanded partnership builds on more than a decade of support for enterprise agile methodologies, including SAFe 5.0, and enhances Digital.ai’s ability to help enterprises leverage agile practices to accelerate digital transformation and drive business value.

Blaize announced the company’s first AI computing hardware and software products built to overcome today’s unmet requirements for compute and productization of AI applications at the edge. With multiple feature advancements vs. legacy GPU/CPU solutions, the Blaize Pathfinder and Xplorer platforms, coupled with the Blaize AI Software Suite, enable developers to usher in a new era of more practical and commercially viable edge AI products across a wide range of edge use cases and industries.

Alteryx, a leader in analytic process automation (APA), and UiPath, the leading enterprise Robotic Process Automation (RPA) software company, announced a strategic partnership to speed end-to-end automation across data-driven business processes. Together, UiPath and Alteryx offer a solution that empowers business leaders, analysts, data scientists and data engineers to increase operational efficiency and automate time-to-insight, bringing together the benefits of APA and RPA to drive faster business outcomes.

Qubole, the open date lake company, announced an enhanced integration with Informatica’s CLAIRE-powered Data Engineering Integration to help organizations overcome the challenges of managing and governing big data on cloud data lakes. With Qubole’s open data lake platform, customers can build intelligent data pipelines up to three times faster using Informatica’s zero-code visual design interface and process those data pipelines using Spark on Qubole. This reduces data ingestion times significantly while eliminating the need to manually administer Spark clusters. Qubole also unveiled Qubole Release 59 (R59), a major update to its flagship platform, with new features for increased productivity and reduced TCO.

SQream, a provider of a data analytics acceleration platform that enables enterprises to gain critical business insights from their massive data stores, announced that its data connector is now available in the Tableau Extension Gallery. The connector provides Tableau customers with near real-time interactive analytics on terabytes to petabytes of data. The SQream Connector offers a more convenient and reliable way to ensure version compatibility for SQream and Tableau integrations while simplifying the addition of new data sources.
