More than $1.2 billion went into 10 Bay Area startups at the end of the week, with the overwhelming majority of that cash in a megafunding of China and San Jose car company Nio.

Here are the details.

NextEV Ltd (dba Nio), San Jose and China, $1 billion: Tencent Holdings Ltd. led the round for this electric vehicle startup, reportedly at a valuation of about $5 billion valuation. Read more here.

Bolt Threads Inc., Emeryville, $57 million of a planned $106 million: Investors so far in the Series D round of this biotech company that is spinning microbes into spider silk include Foundation Capital and 8VC.

Tricida Inc., South San Francisco, $57.5 million: Investors in the Class D round for this developer of oral drug therapies include Wellington Management Company LLP, Venrock Healthcare Capital Partners, Cormorant Asset Management, OrbiMed, Longitude Capital, Sibling Capital Ventures, Limulus Venture Partners and Vivo Capital.

Qubole Inc., Santa Clara, $25 million: Singtel Innov8 and Harmony Partners led the round for this cloud-based data platform developer. They were joined by investors including Charles River Ventures, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Norwest Venture Partners and Institutional Venture Partners.

Scoop Technologies Inc., San Francisco, $20 million: G2VP led the Series B round for this developer of an application for carpooling.

Crux Informatics Inc., San Francisco, $10 million: Goldman Sachs led the round for this data processing financial services provider.

Nanomix Inc., Emeryville, $9 million: The developer of mobile, point-of-care diagnostics technology said this funding came along with a business collaboration with the World Technology East 2, RedPharm Biotechnology Ltd., and associated entities in Hong Kong, China and the European Community.

Welkin Health Inc., San Francisco, $8 million: Thrive Capital led the Series A round for this provider of a digital platform for medical case management.

Embodied Intelligence Inc., Emeryville, $7 million: Amplify Partners led the seed round for this developer of AI software that teaches robots new skills. It was joined by investors including Lux Capital, SV Angels, FreeS, 11.2 Capital and A.Capital. 

Enview Inc., San Francisco, $6 million: Crosslink Capital led the Series A round for this 3D geospatial data analytics provider. It was joined by investors including Lemnos, Promus Ventures, and Toivo Annus.

Swiftype Inc., San Francisco, acquired for undisclosed amount: Amsterdam-based Elasticsearch BV, which has an office in Mountain View, acquired this Y Combinator alumnus that offers cloud-based search products. Swiftype had raised a total of $22 million before the acquisition from investors who include Andreessen Horowitz, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, New Enterprise Associates and SV Angel.
