Qubole, the big data as-a-service company, today announced that it has appointed Jonathan Trail as Qubole’s first Vice President of customer success. As VP of customer success, Trail will work closely with Jonathan Buckley, SVP of marketing, and Marcy Campbell, SVP of worldwide sales and business development. Together, they will work to continue the company’s focus on helping customers adopt and leverage Qubole’s offerings to help them accomplish their business objectives and ultimately drive business outcomes. Trail will report directly to Ashish Thusoo, co-founder and CEO, Qubole.

Trail brings 20 years of experience in enterprise software implementation services and customer success to Qubole. Throughout is career, Trail has served in several startup companies developing and growing global services teams. Prior to Qubole, Trail served as VP of application delivery at NICE Systems, a global provider of analytic and big data platforms for contact centers and back office operations for enterprises such as Sprint, United Health Group and Royal Bank of Canada. As VP of application delivery, Trail managed a profitable $21 million Customer Success and Services business unit for the company. Trail joined NICE in 2011 through the acquisition of Silicon Valley startup, Merced Systems, a provider of OLAP- and Hadoop-based analytical platforms for contact center performance management, where he served as the regional VP, client services. In 2003, Trail joined Merced as the fourteenth employee and grew the company’s implementation and training functions internationally into APAC and EMEA.
